Sovereign Court

This saddens me immensely

Why 2015? WHY Wasn't Leonard Nemoy enough for you, greedy bastard?

Liberty's Edge

RIP Sir Christopher :(

Oh darn, I made a thread about this as well.

Maybe it should be fused with this one somehow?

Just heard about this on the radio.

May he rest in peace. We have lost a fine actor.

First Sir Terry Pratchett.

Then Leonard Nimoy.

Now Christopher Lee

2015 is turning into a genuine Annus Horribilis for nerds.

Allow me to paraphrase what Terry Pratchett's agent wrote after he passed away a few months ago:

"AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER."

Terry took Death's arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.

And Death turned, looked at the world one last time, and closed the door behind him.

The End

I think that Grim Reaper was going to retire, so sir Christopher Lee was hand picked to take over the role.

Here is another article.

The first movie I saw him in was "The man with the Golden Gun" with Roger Moore. You could tell he had presence, just by looking at him. The man screamed Bad Ass. This is one of the few instances where the villain outshined the hero.

He will be missed.

OLet us not forget that Christopher Lee was also a founding member of the Special Boat Service and a bona fide war hero.

Also passing today Ron Moody..Fagin in the 1960's version of Oliver and that means the last two members of the great post war generation of British Actors have gone together.

He was master of his craft, and so much more as an individual.

Also, he could trace his ancestry to Charlemagne.

I find it sad that the media outlets all say "Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Actor Dead." No mention of Bond, Hammond Horror films, Sherlock Holmes, or any of the other great roles Christopher Lee has played over the years. "Great" is overused these days, but we have lost one of the true "greats" of film.

Huh? I saw a lot of news saying more about his Bond and horror movies than LOTR and SW...

I guess it depends upon who's writing the copy, and who's editing the heck out of it.
