First Sir Terry Pratchett.
Then Leonard Nimoy.
Now Christopher Lee
2015 is turning into a genuine Annus Horribilis for nerds.
Allow me to paraphrase what Terry Pratchett's agent wrote after he passed away a few months ago:
"AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER."
Terry took Death's arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.
And Death turned, looked at the world one last time, and closed the door behind him.
The End

The first movie I saw him in was "The man with the Golden Gun" with Roger Moore. You could tell he had presence, just by looking at him. The man screamed Bad Ass. This is one of the few instances where the villain outshined the hero.
He will be missed.

I find it sad that the media outlets all say "Lord of the Rings and Star Wars Actor Dead." No mention of Bond, Hammond Horror films, Sherlock Holmes, or any of the other great roles Christopher Lee has played over the years. "Great" is overused these days, but we have lost one of the true "greats" of film.
