Haste Targets Stick Together?

This might be a really stupid question, but it came up in one of the campaigns I play in.

After haste is cast on it's targets, following the rules of all targets must be within 30 ft of one another, are they required to remain within 30 ft or are they free to roam?

I believe they'd be free to roam because the effect is already active and they are no longer needing to be targeted, am I incorrect?

You are correct - once the spell is cast, they are free to roam. See mass invisibility for an example of a spell working the other way. ^_^
