On the Code of Paladins

So, something recently occurred to me, and I've been mulling it over for a while. I'm a bit tired of paladin threads, to be frank. That I have to make a new one now? It kinda burns.

But seriously. I feel I can actually use this thread to resolve this issue (no, really). I think I finally get what paladins are all about. Using some well-known examples to drive my point home, I intend to expound on this understanding in full.

My argument is below. You may want to get a cup of coffee before reading, because...it's gonna get a bit long. Also, warning—some examples cited are from a popular movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, and will contain spoilers for that movie.

You have been warned. And so, with no further ado...

My Final Word on Paladins:
Bolyo boyo bobyo bolo byoy.
Bolblyo byo bolyo blolyo.
Bobblyo oblyo loblo bloy.

Radiant Oath

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

I...don't get it.

Sadly, there are no good clips of this.

But in the immortal words of Dave Strider: this is what the reference.

If anybody involved in that had been a paladin, it might have been relevant.

Relevance is overrated.

Boyo boyo boyo boyo.

The saddest thing is that, that probably IS the most reasonable response to anything relating to paladins *Facepalm*

... I'm rather happy I found this while listing to the GotG soundtrack.

I'm glad that nobody is disputing this. I will take that to indicate everyone agrees and we are done with paladin threads forever. I'm sure this time it'll stick.

In the original Guardians of the Galaxy, Yondu was something of a paladin.

That would imply that there was something there to dispute. Which would in turn imply that the post had been made by a sentient entity. Spectacular epic fail on both counts.

Shut up, Slaad. You don't even exist in this game.

If I didn't exist, I couldn't have posted and therefore you wouldn't have replied to me. Given that you replied to me, I must therefore exist. :-)

By the way you scummy no good reptile, WHERE ARE MY SUNGLASSES? I've been waiting for them for quite some time now. You have yet to deliver them.

B)

No idea.

That's exactly what my hallucination would WANT me to think.

I just want to say I'm surprised Ceaser's name is annoying me so much... Such a minor error... It's just... ugh.

The error is bothering me as well... People pronouncing it "Seezar", sheesh.

Actually, it's two minor errors, since it's properly spelled "Caesar."

<shrugs>

The other spelling was taken.
