How about a change to treasure drop. Everytime the golem is hit, he drops a bunch of gems and coins in his square. That square becomes difficult terrain to all other creatures. Any creature that begins their turn while standing within reach of such a square must succeed on a Will save or spend one move action to pick up some of the treasure, provoking attacks of opportunity as normal. If the creature has no free hand, they will drop an idea if necessary. This is an enchantment (compulsion) effect.
