Right so a question came up in our game that managed to raise a few other questions around charging and I'm wondering what peoples thoughts on the matter are.
1. Can a creature with a long natural reach charge someone inside their reach if the target is move than 10ft away?.
The rules for charging state you must move 10ft and be unobstructed and also that you must stop in the nearest square you can attack from, so does the forced minimum 10ft movement take precedence and than you attack or does the first available space prevent you from charging at all.
2. If a creature has multiple attacks with different reaches can it choose which one to use for the attack, or does a medium creature with a lance and a 15ft reach tentacle (for reasons) always have to perform the charge attack with his noodly appendage?
Questions? Comments? Arbitrary decisions?
(consensus for our table was the creature with reach could not charge a creature within it, no decision made for the second)

Unless you have a specific rule that forces you to use specific weapon (e.g. classic cursed berserker weapons), you are free to decide what weapon you will be using during attack.

Would that mean a medium creature with a reach weapon would need 15ft?
If they want to use the reach weapon yes. But you could just kungfu kick them in the head instead if you were so inlcined.
[quoteOr an aberrant sorcerer with their extendable arms?
Only with a melee touch attack it looks like.

1: I'd say the first available space takes precedent keeping you from charging.
2: Not clear. Can be read both ways.We had such a case recently, too. A pc with 15ft reach and unable to take 5ft steps was 15ft from an enemy in tiger form with 5ft reach. It was clear that the tiger would charge/pounce the reach pc, so said pc had the choice of making a full attack himself and eat the pounce or move closer and make a single attack.

Or, use his attacks as normal, then do a trip on the AoO on the tiger. Can't pounce if you can't reach the target. And, if he has Combat Reflexes, take an AoO on the tiger when it stands back up, and then it is too close to pounce or charge. Use his Standard to Ready an attack, and get an AoO and a readied attack of some sort....
