Things got..complicated. How do i build on it?

Advice

For a lawful evil campaign our last session tend to end up rather..chaotic. Due to that I've now got a few things I could use ideas for

1)A construct we highjacked got his own mind, but he's following us kindof like a free cohort. I need ideas how to build his 4 PC levels in a 7th level environment. Due to story he needs to have at least 1 level of fighter. My character was showing him the wonderful world of alchemy and creating weird stuff, plus stuff that goes boom, so I figured the remaining 3 would work as Alchemist-grenadier. That means 3 feats to choose (2 from lecels 1 from fighter bonus)
Easiest way to go would probably be to just pick power attack and furious focus, but what else? And is there any point looking over archetypes for just 1 level of fighter?
GM defined his stats as
18str
15 dex
12 con (duh! He has a con score)
15 int!
8wis
7cha
..and english manners

2)3 levels of universalist wizard (+1 investigator).. Unequally gestalted on a 1swashbuckler/6ninja
With only 13 int there's not going to be much wizarding to do, but some utility/trickery spells will come in handy. Was thinking what to do with that 3rd level.
Considered going with the subschool specialising in item creation. Id get a free item ceation feat this level then, but create wondrous items is already taken by another party member. Should I just double the output with the same or perhaps stall the feat until I get another caster level and take craft magic arms and armor?

3) living leftovers of a horror from beyond..which ive brought to this world unwittingly when I took a short trip to a dimension of insanity and..stole a sun from there. It shrunk to a big purple meteor when I threw it through a gate back to the material plane, made a big crater, burned down a village that got in its path (oops)..and when I finally found it again to salvage materials I noticed something had hatched from it..the thing caught up with us on our ship, temporarily messed up the minds of most of everyone there and finally got smashed by an instant fortress Ive triggered to have a place to talk to the thing peacefully..instead it turned the monster into pulp, almost did the same to me, ripped a hole in the ships side..and killed another accompanying npc who failed his reflex.
Anyway, after the whole affair Ive found a strand of flesh with an eye and a mouth left over from the monster..still alive.
Think I should try turning it into a cacodaemon familiar (it is friendly..just insane and hungry for souls, not his fault we were carrying around an artifact full of them he wanted to devour and that hugging him is rather risky) or rather stick with a bonded item? Didnt have time to get that arcane bond get.
4) a dead companion..actually something Ive lost not gained. One of the party members decided to murder my other companion when I was out cold. Seems as revenge for the one that got smashed by my instant fortress. I didn't witness it, only one other party member did..and probably the construct, but my character felt it like the loss of a familiar before passing out. Im the only nonevil PC in the party. How should I react if I find out my "friend"s death was a rather irrational fault of another PC?
5) most of the purple sun-meteorite shell is still where it fell..wondering if its worth borrowing an ant haul spell to drag it all to ship. What might a purple mineral from a horror world be useful for?

wow.... so much confusion... Well, lets take a stab or 5 at it...

1) You have a construct buddy now? Cool, do you need another beef cake/"meat" shield? If you do, full on the fighter (or barbarian). If not, a decent alchemist could be good. Standard feats would need to be Point Blank, Precise Shot, Extra Discovery Infusion. Discovery would likely be Explosive Bomb, because things going bomb is super fun.

2) You are gesalt? Ok.. Swash/Ninja, wouldn't that be CHA based? If so, any reason for the wizard focus? Sorcerer would be better unless there is some bonus wizard school gets you that you want. Yes you can still get a familiar (Look into the Familiar Folio of Bloodline Familiars) or a bonded item, but that requires Arcane Bloodline.

3) .......... Kill it, with fire, with lightning, with acid what ever the hell you have to do, kill it now before you really regret it. Oh, and do not forget, KILL IT!!!

4) You (your character) would theoretically have known the possible outcome of adventuring with these crazy evil people. Now, you might be upset (and should be) but as for actually doing something? Well, if the opponent is Lawful, legal compensation. The PC pays for your replacement companion. Only works however if the other guy is lawful/fair. Good luck in the court case.

5) Ask the GM. That said, depending on what the material is, weapons and armor are the most common choices. Could also ask the horror, just be sure to kill it once you get the answer.

Hope this helps

1) oh yes i like the explosive bomb idea. Dont understand the to- hit feats much for someone targetting touch ac, but ok. But infusion? What good will that be for a character so many levels behind?

2) the wizard wasn't a choice of mine. The gestalted levels came from stealing some imprisonned souls from that other world and partially bonding with them. The wizard in particular came from the now dead npc from point 4. With a lucky roll I managed to retain that power despite his death
I know, not very convenient when looking at 22 dex and 17 cha comaparing to only 13 int..speaking of which I remembered ill have a tough choice on net level - add int to be able to use inspiration from that single investi level for saves as that "ohsh** button" or cha for more ki and skill bonuses

3) but its my "friend"..my uhm.."baby". Course that's not far from calling the same on a fire elemental in a dynamite store but still..

4) if we meet up with the local court we'll probably kill them with extreme prejudice. We seem to be lawful in the sense of wanting to remaie the law in our wicked image, but anything to do with local authorities not connected with us is subject to an open war.
Well since official is out..hmm think cat...no, bite and run away doesnt seem a good option

1) The infusion is so the golem can hand out the buffs from the extract list to others. A few levels behind, I would still want an extract of cure light wounds up my sleeve. Helps that it is free, compared to buying the actual potion (which will be even more levels behind)

2) Well, you still get extracts to use for self via investigator (cure lights and such are never bad to have on hand), inspiration is kinda limited till you can expand the things inspiration can be used on (2 talents expand the list considerably)

As for spells, there is always Vanish (and invisability since you are 3rd) Shield has it's uses too.

3+4) If those are the cases, slip the, uhm... baby? into the offending person's bed/sleeping bag. 2 problems solved. The horror is killed and you get some revenge (does anyone know you rescued the baby?)

If this is a "free" cohort then I would avoid optimizing it too much. He's hanging out to help, but he's not an extra PC you get to play. But then again, I don't know your GM so I could be wrong.

I guess my gut instinct would be to keep him a fighter and pull most of the feats from the CRB. Make him well-rounded and don't go after crazy builds. Any one of the people at your table should be able to look at his sheet for 5 seconds and and decide what he's doing on his turn. Try to shore up whatever weaknesses he has - such as Will saves (actually thats probably beyond repair) - and choose other feats that will help him survive. He'll be last in the order of who party members will help in a tight situation. If your GM is OK with multi-classing and such, try to pick something that makes sense in the story.

If you're going to be role-playing the construct at all, there are different ways to go about it. I will assume the sentience is recent. You could play him as cold-hearted and robot-like - especially if he is surrounded by evil characters. Another way to go is that the construct has a divided mind. There is the "adult" part that knows everything it needs to know, and there is the "child" part that is seeing the world for the first time. You could choose to exaggerate that and make his split mind allow him to do some really bad things without knowing they are bad.

GM does most RPing for the construct actually. Most. I guide it though combat since GM is alread busy with enough NPCs then.
Going full fighter seems a bit cheap and wastes some story I've been going through on him. Not sure how GM sees it, but from my point of view he's been tagging along through interest in adventure..and creation. The best creative skill I got is alchemy and others would rather not communicate with him, so that's why I thought it would be most climatic to do alchemist.

Main issue here - we've been running into thing with DR, SR and resistances (about 10 DR and res) lately, so we'd all be good to have something to get around those, construct included. So perhaps I should get him some more melee punch instead of infusion? Especially with mutagens capable of ramping up str a little more. We've also got a composite bow that noone else is interested in. Should be just right for the constructs 18 str.

Agreed that he shouldnt be something crazy, but he's already a good few levels behind us and not sure how he'll level as we're not counting xp. Want him to be any asset at all though. So far he's been doing modest.

And no, don't think anyone else knows I've got a piece of the "baby" salvaged, GM surprised me with that message after the session.

With High Damage And Spell Resistance I Think It Would Be Cool To Use Bombs/Grenades At Point Blank Range Somewhat Blowing Himself Up.
