Adjusting for Players for Modules


Advice


Most modules are written for 4 players, so what would be the easiest way to adjust to that?? add 1-2 more creatures per encounter? or +1cr to things?

Looking for any advice/ input people have


Let the players start from point buy 15pts..or just roll with it. Maybe more western countries don't have this problem, but from my experience in any group there's a frequent tendency that one-two people cant show up for a session on a given day. Usually not the same 1-2 people, so while you can still call it a 5-6 people party you're actually ending up with 4 anyway.

I have this problem with a 4-man party which ends up with 3 at a time :/


The group can flucuate from 4-7 people.. but obviously if you run the same stuff, on the day with 7 , gonna be a cake walk
