Hawkmoon was talking about the fact that they were First Printing (verified) for the base set and Adv Deck 3 if people were looking for it. It wasn't about the price, it was about the printing.
Got it... What is so special with the first printing?
More errata cards required?| skizzerz |
Slightly different card size (due to different cutting) and a slightly different card back color. If you play unsleeved the differences between the printings are immediately noticeable to some, so having the full game in a single printing (whether first or second) is desirable for those people. If you sleeve your cards it doesn't matter as much since the sleeves make the differences unnoticeable (minus the errata, I suppose).

I was one of those with almost everything from the 1st printing, except for Hook Mountain Massacre. If I hadn't already found a replacement, I'd probably be calling up than Barnes & Noble (or Narnes & Boble ...) right now.
One of my local game stores has two 1st-printing decks (Adventures 3 & 4, IIRC), and while I was hunting for my Adventure Deck 3 I came across a Deck 2 (although that store is about an hour's drive away). If anyone is looking for those send me a PM.

Yeah. And some people have some products in the first printing and want to complete the set in that printing. It looks like some of the boardgamegeek listings say they are first printing as well, so they would also be good to check out.
Same happened to me with the last RotR adv. Deck it was 2nd edition where all other were first edition.
Ss had adv. Deck 4.
And I am excited what happens in WotR :))))
