Scarred witch doctor and year of the sky key

So I've seen conflicti threads, some saying its banned, and some saying it hasn't been. I've read the additional resources document like nine times so I'm fairly sure it isn't mentioned.

So if it is legal, what is the ruling on the class ability to start modifying the totem mask as if possessing the craft wondrous items feat?

All in all I find it very confusting.

Scarred Witch Doctor is Orc only. Since Orcs are not legal for play, Scarred Witch Doctor is not a legal archetype choice.

Is that a pfs specific ruling? Because both past experience and a quick googling says that half-orcs are explicitly allowed to take Orc only things, in the same way half Eli's can take elf only stuff.

I believe Scarred Witch Doctor is also not on the list of approved materials without bringing up to Orc/Half-Orc question. To fully confirm this, you need to know the book, section and page the Scarred Witchdoctor appears on and see if that is listed under additional resources. If it isn't, then it isn't allowed.

Read Additional Resources.

It's a specific ruling.

This means that the Scarred Witch Doctor which can be found under the orc entry is not legal.

Edit: Darn, ninja'd while looking up the additional resources -_-

You need a cert that opens up the Orc racial section. Good luck finding one!

Man, Orc is both the worst possible option to play in a regular campaign in Golarion and the one I really want to try. The stats are lopsided, one of the racial alt features makes you an unintelligible feral child and there's nothing quite like a brutish antihero character to get the party banter going.

Though that shpuld probably be updated to remove the Ratfolk mention, since further down, the Ratfolk chapter is marked legal for play.

FWIW, I have a Scarred Witch Doctor in a non-PFS game that is a lot of fun. At 7th level he is getting 6 attacks a round. He will get 8 when he hits 9th. The build wouldn't work in PFS even if it was allowed though, as it requires Multi-attack.

I keep looking at all those spells that lets you do things with or take on aspects of your familiar and trying to figure out how that's going to work with a totem mask.
