So in a game the other night a character was grappled by a dire bear. His question was if he had the spell stored in a ring and was able to successfully activate the ring, would that allow him to escape?
Yes. The blink spell has a rules error by saying you are ethereal and incorporeal, but no matter which one the GM chooses you would not be grappled.
