A funny thing happened in our group today where our paladin was in kind of a denial phase. It got to the point where I said OOC “Dude paladin’s can’t lie even to themselves” and the whole group was just laughing the rest of the session.
At that point we discussed stupid ways a paladin can unknowingly break his vows.
What about you guys.

Unintentional self-deception is actually a pretty important part of my WotR paladin's drama so I'm definitely voting "yes".
Same for feeling mundane fear. Losing both removes a lot of the human experience.
(the paladin that tries to be the paragon has more appeal to me than the paladin that effortlessly is, tbh)
