Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Hello, everyone.

I have Skulls & Shackles base set, and I'm going to buy Rise of the Runlords baseset (and some other expansions for that)

Sadly, I don't live in USA, so I'm gonna buy this stuffs from Amazon.

The question(and my most concern) is, if I'm buying this stuff at this moment, do I get total 2nd print version of base set(and expansions) from Amazon?

I heard that the fisrt print and second print don't match the size and it causes some problems.(shuffling deck, etc.) and I really don't want to suffer problematic situation.

And I also want to know the 2nd print version of rise of the runelord set can be used with my skulls & shackles set perfectly.

2nd print is what you want if you're looking for compatibility with S&S and future sets.

Amazon most likely has all second prints by now, but no one can say for sure. When they said they were selling first edition, some people got second, when they said they only had second now, some still got first. At this point though, personally I think it's a safe bet that you would get second edition there.

Thank you for your kind, quick response.

How about class decks? They are compatible with second printing?

First printing RotR is the odd one out. Everything else, class decks, S&S, second printing RotR is the same size and printed by the same USA printer.

Hawkmoon is correct. The first print of Runelords was printed by a manufacturer in China, and then the game was switched to a US based printer. Everything besides the first print Runelords matches and is the same printer.

I bought my entire RotR run from Amazon. I got 2nd Ed base set, and adventure 5, but adventures 2, 3, 4, and 6 were Chinese 1st ed.

It's kinda annoying if, like me, you like when a game is uniform, but the 3 other people I play with honestly do not give a damn about it. The only thing that kinda changes is that when we're playing, say, adventure 3, we kinda know whether or not the top card of the location deck *might* be a Henchman/Villain (darker card back) or if it's 100% certain it's not (lighter card back)

I own a mixture of first and second print cards, and I must say that in my humble opinion the whole issue is blown out of proportion. The colordifferences are minimal, and I have not experienced any difficulties shuffling.

Amazon doesn't track individual printings, and any given Amazon warehouse may have any combination of printings. I can guarantee that paizo.com is selling exclusively second printings of all of the RotR products (apart from products listed as "Non-Mint," which could be either printing).
