Masterwork flute as a wand / bonded item?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Are there any RAW issues to enchanting a masterwork flute as a wand? I think it would make a fun family heirloom, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. From what I understand, a wand is basically just a stick so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch... just want to make sure I'm not overlooking something before I run it past my GM.

Your GM has the power to approve it even if RAW says otherwise. It goes with wearing the Big Hat.

We are not your GM's approval board. Don't wait for our meaningless blessings.

I personally however, would go for a wondrous item approach.

RAW, a flute is not a stick that would be appropriate for a wand. That said, I'd allow in my game, but only for sound-based spells.

My GM ended up approving it, I just wanted to run it past the clever folks here on the forums who might be familiar with a random sentence I overlooked amongst the pages upon pages of relevant rules. Thanks for the input!

What kind of wand will it be?
