Building The Black Pharoah

Advice

Hi there

I'm building a super dungeon which involves the PCs unearthing the Nameless City (Irem, City of Pillars from Cthulu lore). The crux of the plot is that The Black Pharoah was once a mortal magician turned high priest of Nethys called Sutekh (or Set if you know your lore) who has been subsumed and become an aspect of Nyarlathotep.

In short the PCs will learn that Sutekh was slowly converting worshippers of Nethys to Nyarlathotep and the association of the two portfolios of magic is what made Nethys mad all those years ago (or maybe the two are the same... *gaasp*). Before he was sucked into the Dark Tapestry or whatever the name of the twisted realm where Nyarlathotep lurks.

Anyway, TL:DR -
I'm building out the Black Pharoah of Nyarlathotep and could do with some advice. I am thinking of gestalting Oracle of Dark Tapestry/Wizard Diviner. Also toying with trotting out some horrifying templates like Worm That Walks to make it more terrifying and throwing in some Mythic tiers for good measure.

Welcoming any tips/advice.

Also looking for ideas/rules to make the campaign more creepy. I'm opening up all the optional rules I can find to up the lethality but also make it more epic (e.g. called shot, mythic, insanity, fate points).

I may even trot out some 3.5E books (Elder Evils, Exemplars of Evil, Book of Vile Darkness) to make it more horrible.

Bump. No love for Nyarlathotep?

Personally, I would build the pharoah as an Wizard 3/Cleric(Seperatist with trickery domain, unless Nyarlathotep gives it)1/Mistic Theurgue 1/Evangelist 10 for a level 15 total.

Note, this requires rule SLA as spells for PrC requirements, which was recently rules back to a no.

If you wanna Gesalt this, which I do not think you have too, Straight Oracle of Dark Tapestry is pretty awesome, toss on Slayer or Rogue for fun sneak attack.

If you really wanna go non human anymore, a Drow Noble should give you a large power boost. Too big? Normal Drow, with many of the noble feats. Not big enough, Lich.

An alternative to Gestalt would be to add one of the Simple Class Templates from the Monster Codex. (The Wizard Creature Template, for example)

I toyed with straight Oracle (Dark Tapestry) with that feat which gives some arcane spells but it didn't feel quite right. That said most of thr spells I wanted him to be able to cast are on the cleric list anyway...

I am open to other ideas though on how to build Nyarly. I figure he breaks the rules anyway.... :)

One last bump for am Outer God and the Great Old Ones...
