If a snakebite striker has the Step Up and Strike feat as well as the ability to combine movement with a feint (from possessing Improved Feint), can the Striker feint as part of her Step Up and Strike movement?
My gut says "no," since Snake Feint is specific about combining a move action, and Step Up is listed as an immediate action. The confusion comes from Step Up and Strike's "does not count toward the number of actions you can usually take each round" clause. Does it still 'count' as an immediate action? Or does it 'count' as a move action for the purposes of Snake Feint?

Seems fairly clear to me that the clause giving you concern ("does not count toward the number of actions you can usually take each round") is a reference to similar clauses in the prerequisite feats, specifically allowing you to take your 5' Step without using your Move action (or any other action including your normal 5' Step miscellaneous action) and you can strike your foe without using your Standard action.
You are still not using a move action with this feat, so it seems your gut reaction is correct, it won't trigger Snake Feint since that requires a Standard or Move action.
