So I am looking into the Blackfire Adpet prestige class, and I have a question as to how to start. My two thoughts are
Conjurer wizard- Loses Enchantment and Divination
or a sorcerer. Any recommendations?

With 3 losses of CL from blackfire adept, Wizard or Witch are basically your only options. at least if your goal is 9th level spells.
Should be noted as a Witch you would want to be a Samsaran so you can access mystic past life to grab spells like Planar Binding (Normal, lesser & greater) , Gate. That's only if you want to use a patron any other patrons instead of Dimensions, see below.
If not a Samsaran, you can also grab the dimensions patron, which will give you the spells that you need.
Of course if your game is going to end around level 15 or lower, guess it doesn't really matter.
