Is the natural armor bonus provided by either the scaled skin or armor of the pit racial trait considered a racial bonus, in which case it would stack with other base natural armor bonuses (such as from mutagen)?
I've yet to find a conclusive answer to this on the forums, only people rehashing the basic rules of enhancement and base NA stacking, etc.
It's considered a "natural armor bonus" and doesn't stack with anything else labeled as such, so no Mutagen. It does work with enhancement bonuses to natural armor-- Amulet of Natural Armor and Barkskin being the two common choices-- but that's about it.
"Racial bonus to natural armor" isn't a thing that currently exists, and if it did it would be labeled as such.
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there are exactly two kinds of natural armor bonus: Base amount, and enhancement bonus to natural armor. If it isn't the latter, it's the former. And neither stacks with itself.
This means racial does not stack with mutagen does not stack with polymorph, etc.
