Groot possible?

Using only Paizo products, Rocket a Kitsune gunslinger with the technologist feat. Get him a familiar, take a level in wizard most likely so you can enlarge, make sure Groot is a mauler so he can become medium sized then cast Enlarge person on him and go to town. Only other suggestion I have seen is a treant Druid. Any better ideas or recommendations? Oh I hope this is PFS legal or something close to it.

The OP in this thread suggested the following build: "A Ghoran Lame Wood Oracle with the Verdant Bloodline (from Eldritch Heritage) would basically be Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. That would be one fun build, grow your own weapons and armor, grow vines to make ranged combat maneuvers... Hey, did you die? Well good thing your comrades can pull a seed from your navel and REGROW you. Baby Groot."

EDIT: Oh and just to be clear, that's their wording, not mine. Hate to rain on the parade, but technically, the character normally has to be the one to expel the seed, so it would require GM approval to allow the seed to be removed by someone else immediately after death.

If I were building Rocket and Groot, I'd make Rocket a summoner while Groot was his eidolon.
