Alchemist giving extracts to other players

Rules Questions

Hi there, I just registered to question about the Alchemist, I'm playing with one and I have a doubt that I'm not it seeing it clearly answered.

It's about having other people drink an extract and taking it's effects. I know that an extract remains active if it's in the possession of the alchemist and there is the Infusion discovery, that can make a extract active even if it's not in the possession of the alchemist, giving you the posibility of giving extracts to other players for their use.

My point is, I don't have the infusion discovery but what happens if I make another player drink an extract while I'm holding it? If I'm holding it, it's in my possession but it's being drinked by other person, the extract will take effect on the other player or not?

It's like "hey friends come here and open your mouths, i'm going to cure your wounds" XD

What do you think about it?

PD: by now, the DM can't let me do this :(

Without the Infusion discovery your extracts only affect you. There is an archtype that can give cure extracts to others without infusion too.

Ok, just checked again the alchemist rules and the Infusion discovery and I misunderstood the text. I though the Infusion only gives you the ability of making the extracts active without being in your possession and that the extracts by default doesn't limited the drinker to be an alchemist.

I will cry to the DM to let me change one of my discoverys to get the Infusion (I joined a party with lv 14 and it's my first alchemist)

Thanks.
