Apparently the room rate at the Doubletree is only good through the 25th. If you stay the night of the 25th, the 2 queen room jumps up to $169 a night.

However the DoubleTree website for PaizoCon says "Welcome to the PaizoCon 2015 reservation site!

A block of rooms have been reserved for May 20, 2015 - May 26, 2015. The special room rate will be available until April 30, 2015 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first."

It seems to indicate that the special room rate is good for the evening of the 26th as well.

Can anyone verify?

According to two different people in reservations, it is not, despite what the website says. They will happily increase the rate by $50 per night if you'd like to stay for the whole time though.

If you book ONLINE and schedule through the 25th under the con rates, it will say no rooms available at the rate, you have to book through the night of the 24th for the con rate then book the 25th separately.

I phoned in my reservation and was told that the 25th does fall under the Paizocon block, however, that the 25th ONLY has been sold out. I find it hard to believe that the last night of the con is the only night sold out.

I was charged $139 on the 25th instead of the usual $159 rate.

For those of us who are government employees, if the room block is full at the time of reservation, you can get the room for $156/night with free breakfast every morning.

Pending the release of PFS GM signups (if room is included) I am willing to split the cost of the room with someone else since it includes two queen beds.

I'm thinking about attending PaizoCon. And adding up the costs.
I would be flying in from Southern California.
Splitting the cost of a room would be helpful.
I'm male; over 40. Just started learning how to play Pathfinder.
There's a better way than this for us to get to know more about each other. I am registered on enworld.org They have the ability to PM each other. And maybe Skype? Although I haven't used it in several years.

I was getting the same problem with the night of the 25th both online and with reservations. Due to my "irritation" i was told to call the hotel directly. 3 minutes later, the hotel fixed my reservation. I highly recommend calling the hotel itself if you are having issues with the 25th.

I booked on Travelocity and got $139/night rate. Arrive on Wed and leave on Tuesday.

I’ve don it twice and have come up with the same offer of $114 per night
First time it was for two queen beds with balcony
Second time there was a choice of two queen beds or one king bed both with balcony.

I just successfully reserved a room at the PCO $114 rate (which is really a $128 rate when you add in taxes) with an arrival of Thursday 21 May and a departure of Tuesday 26 May. I did it entirely online.

(Yeah, I know in another thread I said I wasn't coming this year. I'm having third thoughts.)

They've probably made some changes. When I made my reservation (Wed-Tues) I couldn't get the promotional rate. I made it for Thurs-Mon and then called and they were able to extend it for me.
