Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!
Last year, I offered to add a new waypoint to the edgewalker for every copy of the class sold in December. The spellbook almost doubled as a result, and now that class is one of the best bangs for your buck in the Interjection Games library.
Let's do it again!
Those who have picked up my new onmyoji class have been quite pleased with its wacky pet-based hijinks, but, as with anything with a brand new system that I put out for $4 or less, there's just not enough content to allow the wide variance of builds that people expect in Pathfinder.
Let's fix that. For every copy of the onmyoji that I sell in January, I'll write another talisman, prayer, or feat, and slap it right into the primary onmyoji document at no additional charge.
Argh. Already bought my copy...will try coerce/force/ask nicely the group. Roughly in that order.
I'll go bug my friends. In future, maybe I should hold off on Day 1 purchases? :P

Would definitely buy an expansion to help on this promotion though. Just saying...
By the way, it would be "petition, prayer or feat", since prayers go on talismans. Unless you are actually planning on creating a third format for talismans. Beads?

And I wouldn't hold off on Day 1 purchases, as I wouldn't make such an offer at all if the product sold poorly in the beginning :P
I haven't yet purchased this. I think it will be a birthday present for myself in Jan. :D

Sorry to "resurrect" an old topic, but I believe this will interest people who follow developments on the onmyoji. Just some fan stuff I worked on:

They are basically remixes of the official paizo character sheet, I don't believe there are any problems (could totally be wrong, though!).
Let's continue this discussion via private message - I actually enjoyed this character sheet remixing so much I'm actually working on one for the Vizier character class by Dreamscarred Press right now (well, on the weekends really).
...Still safer for my hand not to be the one to do it, though compensation would color my hand in pretty much the same way. As would overtly asking for it to be done in the first place. Kobold's getting confused here.
Just found out the creator of the original sheets, it's "Happy Camper".
I sent them an e-mail asking permission to re-work the sheets, would be delighted if they answered.

Alright, lads, The Ragi and I have been talking and my vision of the class relying heavily on the shikigami's actions for potency at low levels isn't sitting all that well with him. After doing some numbercrunching, I found a way to give a little something something to the onmyoji himself while simultaneously making the shikigami a little less free to do whatever it wants.
Aid of the Minor Kami (Sp): Just as an onmyoji is the spirit world's envoy to the realm of mortals, an onmyoji uses his shikigami's connections with the minor spirits of the spirit world to receive their aid without the need to petition them formally. Each morning when he replenishes his spirit pool, the onmyoji selects two wizard cantrips and two cleric orisons. He retains knowledge of the chosen spells until the next time he uses this ability, at which point he promptly forgets them before choosing a new set of orisons and cantrips. If the onmyoji is within 20 feet of his shikigami, he may cast any of the chosen spells at will with a caster level equal to his onmyoji level.
The range of this ability will scale with the Hit Dice of the shikigami, much like the "connection" abilities on the pet itself.

Ah, this is quite an elegant solution. While the shikigami really had to stick close to his onmyoji for all his better buffs, the master barely got anything out of this proximity. Now, he has some nice low-level benefits, and actually stronger than I hoped for. Clever!

Contents of Onmyoji Expansion
1 - Aid of the Minor Kami class feature, which gives the onmyoji two wizard cantrips and two cleric orisons
2 - Support for Aid of the Minor Kami in the powerful bond shikigami ability
3 - Four new feats that grant a 1/day spell-like ability and the ability to grab additional cantrips and orisons for Aid of the Minor Kami
4 - Extra Aid and Petition the Minor Kami feats, which make the 1/day spell-like abilities 2/day and allow for a single free casting of "gift" petitions, respectively.
5 - Bountiful Influence shikigami feat
6 - Four new Gift petitions that grant a 3/day 1st-level spell-like ability of your choice. Requires associated Aid feat to qualify.
7 - New Gift petition that allows you to make an adhoc pool out of all of these 1st-level spell-likes that the onmyoji suddenly has all over the place.
