Hello,
I have a question concerning the interplay of Twin Form and Elixir of Life available for an Alchemist:
When I first drink the elixir of Life, and then drink an extract of Twin Form, what happens when the twin I'm currently in is killed?
The Elixir of Life should apply to both copies, so the Twin gets resurrected immediately. However, the Twin Form spell says:
If the body you inhabit is destroyed, you immediately shift to your surviving self and the extract immediately ends.
Do I shift and does that resurrected twin get destroyed here? The Elixir of Life text states:
Alternatively, the alchemist himself may drink the elixir of life, after which point he is immediately targeted with a resurrection spell the next time he is killed.
This would imply that the body actually dies, even if it's only for a minimum amount of time, which should make that Twin Form clause kick in, but would make the combination less useful.

Since the Twin Form extract specifies that it immediately ends if the other body you inhabit is destroyed and because Elixir of Life does not prevent death then there is nothing for the Elixir of Life to resurrect since it no longer exists. The spell effect has ended.
So yes, these two effects have no extra benefit to combining them.
