Pathfinder Online Emerald Spire Cert question

I have the cert from the pathfinder online kickstarter. The first part of the boon read

my cert wrote:

Emerald Elixir: Stolen from a bizarre pool in the Emerald Spire superdungeon, this strange vial of glowing emerald elixir has potent alchemical properties. When you drink this elixir, you gain the advanced simple template (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 294) for the duration of the scenario.

Alternatively, you may mix the elixir with experimental agents found near the vial to trigger a permanent mutation, determined by rolling 1d20 and consulting the random mutation table below (you may not use any reroll ability to modify this die roll). If more than one player activates an emerald elixir at the same time, all drinkers may choose the mutation acquired rather than roll randomly. All bonuses granted by these mutations are alchemical bonuses. Only one PC per player may gain the benefits of this boon.

Below that is the chart for the second part.

My question is this: Has the first part been given errata? It does not say to cross it off, so can I drink it every scenario?

Thanks in advance

It's a one-time use.

That's what I thought. I just wanted confirmation. Thanks. I will likely drink it for a roll on the chart then.

Don't know much about alchemists, and couldn't find this feature anywhere, but how does that potion-taster feature where the alchemist drinks the potion and spits it back in the vial interact with the elixir?

If I could find what I was looking for, I may not be asking this question.

I think you are thinking of Alchemical Allocation 2nd lvl extract from APG.

"This extract causes a pale aura to emanate from your mouth. If you consume a potion or elixir on the round following the consumption of this extract, you can spit it back into its container as a free action. You gain all the benefits of the potion or elixir, but it is not consumed. You can only gain the benefits of one potion or elixir in this way per use of this extract."

Considering the Advanced template is a +4 to all ability scores, I'm going with "HAhahahahahahahaaaaaaa HAHAHAhahahahahaaaaaa... No."

Cfoot, that was exactly what I was looking for, I just didn't know where to look so my search parameters were bad.

Mystic, I'd also go with NO, but I'm sure people out there would be all like, "No man, you can't do that! I took a discovery. That discovery says elixir. The boon says elixir. If you don't let me, I'm telling on you!" And I'll be all like, "*eye-twitch* *face-palm*" - so, you know, just asking.

A boon is not an item, even if it sounds like an item, unless it says explicitly that it's an item.

That'd be my ruling, at least.

Grand Lodge 4/5

I'm guessing this came up before, because the Emerald Spire itself has boons that explicitly say they don't work with Alchemical Allocation.

So here's another question I was asked by a player:

The sheet indicates that this is an alchemical elixir. There is an alchemist discovery that allows you to take an elixir, then spit it back into a bottle. I am sure this doesn't count for this boon, but I really thought I needed to ask.

Funny as that would be for my own alchemist, no, the alchemical allocation extract does not function for the Emerald Elixir.
