[3PP Pathfinder] What 3PP Products Would Like to See Supported More?

Product Discussion

For which 3PP Pathfinder products would you like to see more support, both from the original publisher and from other 3PPs?

Word Casting. Having a flexible casting system would be really cool and word casting as it is NOW is just a DIFFERENT way to create some of the more iconic spells in Pathfinder... I would LOVE to see something more along those lines.

Also more archetypes for witches. I feel like witches are seen as OP and thus are spurned by players because: "Well, if I were a witch it would have been over before it began" (not that I agree. I think witches are OP and that suits me JUST FINE!) but some more archetypes/spells/hexes/feats/items... witches just seem a little left out compared to the other spellcasters/classes.

I like Adventure Paths, but those are also high risk so they are rarer.

When a new PC race (or a new OHD variant of an existing critter) is introduced, which none-Paizo classes/PrCs to do want to see supported with favored class bonuses, archetypes, options, spells/extracts/powers, mundane and magic items, etc.?

Martial subsystems. I have spells and magic items up to my ears. Can we have some martial love more often?

Define martial subsystems, please?

So far Dreamscarred Press has some cool Martial subsystems.

In Ult Psionics we got the Aegis, in Akashik Mysteries we have the Guru and Daevik, and then we got Path of War which is all Martial.

With Malwing on this one- I feel like o one tries to be creative with Martial characters anymore maybe save for Dreamscared's Path of War which rocks but I still dislike that the only thing we have for a swordsman to give him some 'omf'is by essentially giving him spells. A different/alternate system for manuvers would be very nice.

Aside from that-

I would always like to more thing's done for Radiance House's Pact Magic, like more spirits specifically, and, even though it just came out, more veils for the new Akashic classes, primarily the vizier. I love the concept of the class but a few others and myself have noticed its veil selection is, well, kinda not diverse; want to make a defensive, d6 for HP- low BAB class? No problem! Want to make that same class alright at crowd control? Kinda doable. Anything else, like damage or support? Not really a thing you can do at the moment which is a shame.

So number one on my list? Veils for the Akashic subsystem.

I would like to see more martial stuff, too. I prefer to play non-magic-using martial characters, and would really like to see them get more attention.

I would love to see a broad stamina system added for martial characters. It sounds like it will be coming with Pathfinder Unleashed, but I am surprised no 3PP came up with it first.

I also think style feats, like the unarmed style feats, would be incredibly beneficial to martials. Though they'd be very hard to get on a lot of builds since most classes don't have the number of bonus feats Monks, Fighters, and Brawlers have.

Some sort of nonmagical system that grants or resolves specific modes or actions. For me examples include called shots, Path of War's maneuvers, the martial pool from The Book of Martial Action, and style feats.

Called shots had a lot of potential. Sadly, it felt as if entry into them was too difficult and that it benefitted high-crit chance weapons, due to a higher chance of getting one of the cooler effects.

A subsystem that actually rewarded the use of hammer and axe weapons would be great.

Pretty much anything that Super Genius, Rogue Genius and Dreamscared Press has made I allow at my tables. As such I'd love to see more support for it.

Swordmaster by Dreadfox Games I'd love to see get more love.

Anything by Interjection Games is pretty much a yes at my table unless it doesn't fit a given campaign or setting.

Another nod toward more martial love or subsystems to help them out.

I'd like to see support for classes that have "pick choices from other classes" - RGG's Magister, Drop Dead's Dilettante, The Savant, Taskshaper and others - just to add the goodies in from the last few years of crunch - adding in ACG and OA (when it comes out) stuff would be really cool. And 3rd party options - add in Psionics, Binding, Akashic stuff, Eathermagic as choices for I've done some myself, but would love to see someone else's take.

I have something coming out Tuesday that you might be interested in. ;)

We have a HUGE martial book that has alternate rules and just shy of a dozen very off-the-wall creative martial classes coming out after our Non-Traditional Race book :-). It also includes more than a dozen plug-and-play alternate rules that spice up combat, particularly in the martial sense. It includes a fatigue system (though we are still hammering out the bugs on that one).

Does that exist or are you still working on that?

That is next in line after our Non-Traditional Race book. Art is almost done, everything else is pretty solid. ETA? Probably a month or so (holidays slow us down a bit but it's already been mostly edited)

Still really looking forward to that book. I have my own stamina/fatigue system if you are looking for ideas/inspiration; I have been looking to get my foot in the developing door for awhile now.

Any thing for Rogue Genius Games (Godling, Time Thief, Anachronistic, and Talented lines.)

More stuff for LPJ's Machinesmith.

Literally anything from Rogue Genius Games, LPJ, Little Red Goblin Games, Gooddevil Press, Dreamscarred Press, Necromancers of the Northwest, Kobold Press, Fat Goblin Games, Purple Duck Games (and 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming), Lost Spheres Publishing, and Legendary Games. Also probably some other publishers that I'm forgetting.

...I really really like 3rd-party stuff. I'm not addicted, okay?

Our Patron supporters have a preview of the classes and material up (and they are pretty excited about it).

We are always looking to help people get their foot in the door. If you want to send something my way, please feel free. (ScottGladstein@LittleRedGoblinGames.com)
