Using the "Spiritual guardian" feat

Advice

Hello Folks,

I rencently discovered, thanks to a shaman playing friend, the following feat:

spiritual guardian:

Spiritual Guardian
Your spiritual guardians are more powerful than those of most others.

Prerequisite(s): Ability to cast spiritual weapon or spiritual ally, spirit magic class feature.

Benefit: Whenever you cast spiritual weapon, spiritual ally, or a similar spell that grants you a spiritual guardian, that guardian uses your shaman level instead of your base attack bonus to determine its base attack bonus, potentially granting it multiple attacks. Additionally, it gains a +2 bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance as well as on damage rolls.

It's a cool little feat that gives a significant boost to spiritual weapon & spiritual ally. And I was wondering what was the full lits of spells that could be used. This is what I could find:

Spiritual Weapon
Summon Ancestral Guardian (dwarf)
Spiritual Ally

I was wondering if anyone knew of other similar spells that would qualify, or of other ways of strengthening this concept.

Twilight Knife, though be careful some of the spiritual spells already use caster level for bab and not your bab so it could be a downgrade.

Edit: Possibly the "hand" spells too like crushing, interposing, but they use caster level already so they are better without.

As far as I can tell all these mention using your attack bonus, so as long as you are a mono-classed shaman you should be good.

You are definitely good with what you have, was mainly just a warning. Using the feat with twilight knife actually makes it pretty good imo as well. Baring those you might need to get DM approval for any other spells. I was thinking there was another spell like those but used caster level but I can't remember or find it.

I have a shaman that's completely focus on boosting Spiritual Weapon through the roof, she uses:

Spiritual guardian
Dazing spell
Toppling spell
Quicken spell
maximize spell

Which surmounts to her casting 2 spiritual weapons per round, dazing, tripping and damaging her opponents every round while she goes off and does other stuff. It's great.

I don't quite understand what this feat means by "use your shaman level to determine its BAB, potentially granting it multiple attacks" can someone give me an explanation on this please? Thanks

Simply means you can use iterative attacks, just like normal.

Another question I have is does the +2 bonus to CL to overcome spell resistance and add damage only apply to these spells or all spells that the owner of this feat can cast?

Sovereign Court

yeah it only applies to the spirit guardian spells listed.

Cool thanks, and if I cast Spiritual Weapon from a staff does it get buffed from this feat?
