Promo cards are labeled with insufficient information... All Promo cards just have a "P" in their upper right corner.
So when you would replay RotR and you dont know anymore with which adv pack which promo card was released you have got a problem: when you start with the base set which promo card(s) you mix in? Goblin Plate +1???
How to solve the problem?
1) Paizo will print one overview card with the errata cards (soon released) which lists the connection of promo cards use and adv pack number... This would be cool!
So in general such a card could be released as additional promo card with the last adv pack when all promo cards are know for this adv path.
2) paizo could label for future adv path the promo such as PB, P1, P2, ...
The last letter/number is the adv deck it will be introduced.
However, this could not apply anymore to Rotr and Ss...
Which solution do you prefer?
This seems easier.
So, when you replay, just put them all in at once during adventure 1.

Or you could do the legwork and track down when they were released. It was stated in the FAQ. Then just track when the adventure decks were released.
I'm not sure why you didn't just look on these boards for the info you needed. I simply looked at the FAQ first.
I don't think the promo cards were designed with a specific deck in mind as the power level of the promos definitely does not increase as you get deeper into the adventure path. I believe that the P label is sufficient.
The promos are intended to be inserted as soon as you get them or Adventure 1, as the FAQ states:
When can I add promo cards to the box?
Anytime after you begin Chapter 1 of the Adventure Path.
The FAQ doesn't say to put them in with each adventure released with, especially since some of them didn't have an adventure release at all.
There's no need to remember which one you got them with, you simply put them all in at the start if you already have them.
