Hello all, I recently played a pregen in a higher tier game and I am applying it to my lvl 1 character. I was told at the table that I will earn 500g, but looking at the PFS guide, it shows I should have earned a different amount.
My question is two fold:
1.What is the right amount when applying the xp to a lvl 1?
2.If it is higher than 500g, can it still be corrected or is it too late?
Thanks in advance for any help!

There is two ways to do this. A higher tier game can be applied to a level one char NOW with 500 gold and the regular pp and xp. Or it can be applied to the level 1 character but doesn't go into effect until the character reaches that level (which means you do not get the gold, xp, or pp until that character is the minimal level the scenario could be ran as).

You're probably looking at the rules for full length modules or AP scenarios. In those cases, you get 1,398 gp to apply...but those take a lot longer to get through and also give you 3 XP and 4 PP rather than 1 XP and a shot at 2 PP that a normal scenario does.
So, 500g is probably correct, but there's not enough information in your initial post to tell 100%.

I think it doesn't go into effect until the character reaches the level of the Pregen it was played with... so until the PC reaches 4th or 7th level.
Please double check this in the guide...I've been wrong before, and likely will be again...

Nosig is correct, holding a pregen chronicle means you can't apply it until the PC reaches the level of the pregen, either 4th or 7th level. The rule for "when a character reaches the minimum level of the scenario" is for GM credit. Easy to confuse the two rules...

Here I looked it up
The one exception is if you have multiple Chronicle sheets from pregenerated characters, they are applied to your character’s Chronicle sheet stack all at once when your character reaches the appropriate level, even if this would advance your character several levels. You may also opt instead to apply the Chronicle sheets earned with a non-1stlevel pregenerated character to a 1st-level character with the amount of gp gained reduced to 500 gp (or 250 gp for characters using the slow advancement track). You do not lose access to any of the Prestige Points, or items listed on the Chronicle sheets that were earned during the adventure. However, any boons must wait to be utilized until the character is of the same level as the subtier on the Chronicle sheet unless otherwise noted. Any equipment that’s listed on the pregenerated character sheet may only be sold to clear conditions such as death during the play of a sanctioned event, and any remaining gold does not carry over at the end of the adventure.
So you could run a lvl 7 pre-generated character in a tier 5-9 scenario, apply the credit to a lvl 1 character. Reduce the gold to 500, and the boons won't go into effect til you are lvl 5.

That is correct.
However, if you choose to go the other route, and apply the level 7 pre-gen chronicle to a PC that's lower than 7th to be held until the character is 7th level, then the character would get the full money, XP, prestige, boons, etc. on the chronicle as if he played it when he was 7th level is the option they're talking about.

So I have another tangential question to this, my girlfriend finally caved and played during the stonelords season opener a weekend ago.
She had a blast and we played at the 5-6 table and she played a lvl 7 pre-gen for the game.
So to apply the chronicle I get the 500g 1xp and 2 pp rule well enough, but what about the boons the character would have received? Since the chronicle is made for all lvls and don't scale with level, could she select and use any of ablities we gained access to? (we won, and had a success in almost every area) Or would she pick a boon from the sheet and wait till 7 till the boon applys?
Oh and on a related note, she had fun, working on getting a character rolled up for her with some fun fluff for her

Good question. Not sure if this Special does it the way other Specials did, with different but similar rewards for different sub-tiers or level ranges, but they are similar boons, so the question would be if the PC can be given the level 1 version of the boon, or if the boon would be the level 4 or 7 version, held until the PC is the lowest level that would qualify for that version of the boon.
For one of the earlier Special boons, as a general coverage, you would choose from one of three versions, applying a minor bonus or reroll to a different type of roll, depending on the version chosen, but the sub-tier group determines how many times the benefit could be used.

It doesn't matter if the scenario can be played at every level. You note which subtier was actually played (mostly by circling the corresponding max. gold amount) and that's when the boons activate.
