So I've been looking at building a Summoner based Eldritch Knight since I've got a not-quite-level-two character from right before the PFS cutoff for Aasimars... I was curious about the Spirit Summoner archetype and how it would interact with the EK's +1 caster level:
Quote:
A spirit summoner forms a mystical bond with one spirit from the shaman class. He gains the spirit ability of that spirit and uses his summoner level as his shaman level for determining its effects. The spirit summoner can select spells granted by that spirit as summoner spells known, using the shaman level of the spell as the summoner spell level. The summoner cannot select spirit spells that are above 6th level.
Bolded the relevant portion of the text. By my reading it sounds like, even though I will not be staying in the class and advancing the Spirit Summoner itself, I would still eventually gain access to the higher level spirit spells as my caster level goes up. Does this sound right to everyone else?
