Hey all
Just posting here about a games design blog I started (those of you frequenting or following RPG Superstar every year will know me as Template Fu).
I have designed the site to eventually be one of the "go to" sites for people new to freelancing and those wanting to break into games design, the intent being to include tutorials on item design, creature design, adventure design, encounter design, making approaches and proposals, professional conduct, and so on.
I already have a regular viewing of 50-70 views daily which is currently growing every week, and so I am now comfortable with posting here and pointing all you wonderful publishers to my games publishers directory page.
This page houses links to games publishers who make use of freelancers of all levels of experience and size of portfolio.
Companies already on the directory include 0One Games, AAW Games, LLC, EnPublishing, Kobold Press, LPJ Design, Paizo Publishing, LLC and Rite Publishing.
I invite all games publishers in these forums to visit my site and my directory page to determine if they would like to be added to the directory.

Games Publisher Directory Page
If you decide you would like to be added, please PM me and I will provide you an email address by return.
I will need to check what links you would like for your directory entry, what short description you would like and whether you have any direct guidance to freelancers wishing to approach you. I will also need an graphic of at least 200x200 pixels to place beside your directory entry. Please refer to the Paizo and AAW games entries to see all of this in action!
Thank you for your time and attention.
Anthony.

Hey all, I have just received a mail from ipage who run the servers for the blog.
They are currently experiencing a sustained DDoS attack! If the site is slow or unresponsive, please try later to save your frustration. They are working to solve the problem as I type.
New posts this week so far - the second half of choosing your RPG Superstar base item and central theme, and a samples and evidences page of my own work.
Hope you are enjoying the site and it's growing content despite the speed of it right now :)

This weeks updates have started - the first of which looks at naming a wondrous item and how the item name can benefit the designer as well as help at the game table.
An initial discussion of the breakdown of a wondrous item description as relating to an RPG Superstar entry is also covered.

Just a quick post to let everyone know that the blog will go quiet for the next couple of weeks as I head off to Egypt for some sun and inspiration.
I will blog this on Friday before flying out at the weekend, just in case I can squeeze one last blog out before then ;)
I believe I have caught up with everyone who provided their details for inclusion in the games publisher directory page...
If you haven't sent me any details yet and would like to be included, please can I have them in the next 24-48 hours otherwise you will have to wait two weeks before you can be added. Either PM me here or use the contact page on the web site.
The info needed is an icon to place beside your directory entry, your home web site address, a collection of links you would like to appear beneath your company name and a short bio.
If you have special requirements for new freelancers to approach you, please also supply this and I will include it as I have done for AAW and Paizo. :)
Thanks to everyone for your kind interest.

Got back safely!
However my PC power supply has died so I won't be posting until Saturday - maybe there is something like a Tomb's Curse! O-O
For those of you that had problems adding comments to the articles, there was a problem with the site software that has been fixed now by the site providers.
Don't forget, to add comments to the posts you must
a) Have registered
b) Be logged in
Your first comment may await authorisation by myself (one of the anti spam measures I use), but after your first comment is authorised, you will be able to comment freely.

Hi all
Site updates have started following a mammoth uploading session to drop box of design inspirational pictures and videos from Egypt 2014 :)
The links for these free to view and use resources are on the blog site in the latest post and at the bottom of the sites resources page.
I hope you enjoy them!

I know you have a link to the LRGG site on there (thank you SO much for that by the way!) but in the last month or so we have published a series of game design articles.
We have a category tag for it here (It might serve better than the "How to Design a Game Article" link).
Our most recent posts include posts on:
This is an awesome site and I'm going share the heck out of the link best I can!

Many thanks for your kind words.
I will add your new link above to the "Design Resources" page and update the directory link as well - those articles look very good.
I have a site update session scheduled for Saturday - adding more publishers, putting up the tutorial item draft description and discussing the various parts and some general site maintenance.
Traffic is growing nicely, 1,068 views in the first 4 weeks of being live with an average daily visit of between 40 and 60 and growing.

Hi all
The first part of a series of 3 posts concerning wondrous item design, the description element, for RPG Superstar is now live on the site.
Publisher links added for Raging Swan Press and the tutorials index also updated with the latest blog.
Enjoy.
