Hello,
I just happened to play a Druid in our adventure(Serpents Skull) and i made a very detailed story for him but i have dont know if it would make any sense in the setting. So here is a brief rundown of his story
He waa found by dwarfs in the five king mountains wrapped in a black traveling cloak. He was raised by the captain of the patrol that found him.
He showed a natural understanding of stones and the earth and he soon manifested magical powers which focused around warping stone and controlling it. His magical abillitys couldnt be explained by priests or magicans of the dwarfs but it was like it was simply there. He ran away from the dwarfs to follow a group of traveling Druids and learned there ways and became a druid himself. He now is 25 years old and on his own journeys to master the shaping of the Earth and the Rock and to get into some adventures. He was seen the last time in Magnimar as he entered the Jenivere to Travel to the Mwangi Expanse.
He is 1,84 meters high
Has green eyes and black hair.
Wears a black traveling cloak and a Dwarfen Stone armour with druidic runes on it.(it is as light as leather but a bit stronger like studded leather and is not as effective against piercing and stabing attacks)
He has a deep voice which is not so firm in speaking common and has a heavy accebt which sounds a bit lile a russian accent but he speaks dwarfen and druidic without accent and fully fluent.
Hope it makes some sense but let me know if not and what you liked
Thanks!

Sounds like a rock-solid premise to me.

(I'm so sorry...)

The only issue I see is your armor idea. Maybe make it leather armor cut from the hide of a stony monster like a bullete? It would function like leather armor or hide armor mechanically, but you could say it looks and feels like stone. Or you could go all-out and get Heavy Armor Proficiency, then find yourself a suit of stoneplate (heavy armor, +9 AC, +1 max Dex, -6 armor penalty, price 1,800 gp).

*Edit: It may be too late if you've already started, but consider taking the cave druid archetype from the Advanced Player's Guide. Technically you could also look at the mountain druid archetype (same book), but without spoiling anything, cave druid would be a better choice for playing Serpent's Skull.

Menhir Savant Druid and take a cleric subdomain caves.

Fight scimitar and shield, loads of fun for the serpents skull AP.

adding in some horizon walker might make it even more interesting.

Loved this AP.

Thanks i took cave druid and no archetypes are allowed from the GM because he is new to beeing gm!
