Shalelu: A character history.

Rise of the Runelords

One of my player's character died in the campaign and he liked the character of Shalelu and asked if he could play her. I allowed it. This is a quick history of the Ranger Shalelu I wrote up for him. I thought I'd share it in case anyone else ends up playing her. This mostly comes from the book except the bit about who her biological father is. Sorry about any punctuation or spelling errors, and any tense mistakes. If anyone wants to Edit it I will NOT be offended.

Shalelu
You were born in a small elven village named Crying Leaf in the Mierani Forest. You were raised by your mother Seanthia, a priestess of Desna. Your father, you were told, was a traveler named Bellengos. He was an elf from the south who passed through the village, stayed for 6 months, then left. Your mother tried to contact him to tell him he has a child, but she was never answered.
In your early teens, your village was plagued by Ettercaps who were controlled by a Green Dragon. A party of human adventurers passing through took up the fight and defeated the Ettercaps, but were all slain except for one, a ranger named Jakardros Sovark. Your mother nursed the human back to health. He was young, impulsive, and quickly fell in love with your mother, and she him. You found this strange as your mother was a rather sober personality and the young human’s exuberance seemed not to fit. But soon, he was part of your daily life. He moved into your home and became the only father figure you ever knew.
Three years later the Green Dragon came back; a great beast of fury and vengeance. With Jakardros’s aid, the Dragon was again defeated, but at the cost of your mother’s death. Your last memory of him is the two of you, on your knees at the body of your mother; your mourning a quiet, disbelieving, hollow pain; his a keening howl of fury.
Jakardros left Crying Tree that night without a word leaving you to tend to your mother’s burial alone.
You lived in Crying Tree till you came of age then left and took up the solitary life you now lead. Something about the Varisian Coast attracted you. You adopted the region of Sandpoint as a base and soon became the bane of the Goblin tribes that plagued the region. Too you earned an enemy. A hobgoblin named Bruthazmus whom you fought many battles, each wounding the other and built a hate for each other.
Then Sandpoint itself was attacked by the goblins tribes; a very bold and unlikely cooperation between the war-like tribes. The city was truly saved by a group of travelers who happened to be in town. Hemlock asked you to speak with the group as they offered to help Sandpoint with their goblin problem. On this same day, you heard from your friend Amiko, that a ranger staying in the Inn mentioned a Jakardros of the Black Arrows at Fort Rannick. You were touched be the concern in her eyes when she told you. When questioned, all Amiko heard was the name mentioned. You found and questioned the man and learned that Jakardros has served with the Black Arrows for years and is now the second in command at Fort Rannick.
Burning to confront him and to ask the questions that have been in your heart for years, you plan on paying a visit to Fort Rannick and its second in command as soon as you solved the mystery of the strange co-operation of the goblins of Sandpoint.

....and somehow meanders into two other adventure paths with some sort of leveling amnesia.

Just being humorous, you have the important sketched facts.

Really? What are the other paths? Does she play an important role or still a side character?

second darkness and jade regent, i'm not sure about second darkness but she plays a big role in jade regent, tho don't be afraid to use her in rune lords, she can be easily changed in jade regent:)

Ahh. Ok, thanks.
