I listened to the This American Life broadcast last night.
Honestly, I found it more sad than anything. On the tape, the regulators go into these meetings talking themselves up like they're going to tear GS a new one, but the second they get in front of the bank guys, they immediately cave.
Yep, but this poses a huge problem when you think the FED has, among its duties, to check on the likes of G&S, yet they basically can get away with whatever they want because they obviously can bypass FED surveliance or even get it removed when it turns out to be too stubborn to give in to their demands.
