New magic item for the Flying Blade

Scarab Sages

So, I've been really excited to try and use the Flying Blade archetype for the Swashbuckler, but I was worried that at higher levels, the fact that I'd either need to have upwards of 8 daggers, all with the returning quality, and then not move once I throw them all to use Two-Weapon Fighting and a full attack. So, I wanted something to simplify that, and work a bit closer to endless ammunition weapons that other ranged weapons get to enjoy, so here's my solution:

Sheath of Ashen Blades
20,000 Gold, Moderate Conjuration Aura
CL: 9th
Minor Creation, Craft Wondrous Item, Cost: 10,000 gold
This leather of this blackened sheath looks like it cracked in a fire. Closer inspection reveals that the cracking spells out words in Ignan, “Know that distance is no safety from my ire.” The sheath automatically adjusts to accept any light, throwing weapon (any light melee weapon with a listed range). When a command word is spoken any weapon in the sheath appears to melt, along with a glow as from a forge and the sound of faint hammering. A replica weapon then appears in the sheath. This replica appears to be made of ash, but functions as the weapon that was consumed. The weapon consumed can be restored by speaking the command word again. The replica can be drawn and thrown as normal, but disintegrates after being thrown. As soon as the replica is drawn, a new replica is created in the sheath. These replicas are created effectively instantaneously, allowing for full attack actions.
The Sheath of Ashen Blades can only consume and replicate weapons of up to a +3 total bonus.

And, since Iron Gods came out, in tech-y terms:

Case of Rapid Fabrication
20,000 Gold, Moderate Conjuration Aura
CL: 9th
Minor Creation, Craft Wondrous Item, Cost: 10,000 gold
A Technic League copy of more advanced technology, this case rapidly creates cheap copies of any light weapon placed into it.
This item looks like a thin black case, made of some lusterless metal. A narrow opening at the top adjusts to hold any light throwing weapon (any light melee weapon with a listed range). When a small button on the side of the case is depressed, it begins emitting a faint blue light and a gentle whirring. The case then ejects a handle, which appears to be an exact copy of the weapon originally inserted into the case. When this new weapon is drawn, the case starts up again, and a new handle emerges. The new weapon can be drawn and thrown as usual, but shatters after its first attack. This replica weapon acts in all other way as the weapon that acts as the template. These replicas are created nearly instantaneously through nano-technology, allowing for full attack actions.
Due to the imperfect nature of these Technic League copies, trying to replicate any weapon above a total +3 bonus causes the Case to overload and shutdown for 1 minute.

Do these seem balanced? Or am I missing something major?

The price seems cheap for something that recreates weapons that can have a +3 bonus of some kind. Other than that i do feel your on the right track but it needs some twinking. Why is it made of Ash vs being made of something else? I would think Ironwood or making it just be metal would be fine. Maybe make it a wrist sheath. That sounds like it would work best for me. I mean pulling daggers from your wrists feels more in sink then from what might be a big bulky sheath. Just my 2 cp tho.

Take a look at the blinkback belt - it fits your purpose well.

A scabbard that creates magical daggers (similar to the signature item of a certain famous drow mercenary) would be cool as well. However, I find your execution somewhat lacking: The language could be clearer and I don't see the necessity for a master/copy mechanic. I would have it summon daggers (or axes or whatever you want to throw) out of thin air and the items price would scale with the weapon's enhancement bonus.

I like the sound of this and think it is your best way to go. Having it summoned right into your hand seems to make sense as well. I should have thought of it. Plus if you go by its price by its + you can have it used on higher than +3.

The Blinkback belt looks closer to what I was looking for. I had just been trying to make something that I felt would make a thrown weapon specialist viable, rather than attacking and then having to trudge up to your enemy and collect all of your daggers again. The master/copy mechanic was to offset the fact that, as a sheath, it's effectively a slotless wondrous item, which would make it more expensive. But, since there's an already extant item doing what I want, I guess I can shelve these ones.
