Converting Classic Yu Gi Oh

How would you convert Yu GI Oh Cards?

What cards, and in what sense?
I may or may not have extensive first hand knowledge on the subject.

Traps, spells, and monsters all around could make for some sick conversions.

I'll ask if he won't.

Silent Swordsman-Swordsman who cant be effected directly by magic.

Magician of Black Chaos-Mage that sacrifices spells to forcibly teleport enemies.

Dark Magician-Mage with a 'magician' theme.

Dark Magician, in japanese, was called Black Mage, so... yea.... No conversion neccessary

Dark Archive

The duelists are summoners who fight with summoned monster and use spells to either destroy each other's creations (traps and spells) or direct damage to take out the summoner (cards like Ookazi).

I would expand the summoned monster list and then just have any duelist be a fight between two sorcerers, wizards, or clerics. Naturally there is a gentleman's agreement that no melee attacks against the opposing duelist is allowed.

But in the cards, both in and out of the show, he does have a 'magician' theme. Magical hats, box with swords going in, magic curtain. Also I watched it in japanese. He's called 'Black Magician', so you're wrong as well.

We'd just need a means to sacrifice summons to gain effects including augmented summoning.

That sounds like a feat.

Scarab Sages

Or make this whole thing an archetype that gives up spellcasting for the ability to sacrifice summons in order to summon monsters from lists of a higher summon spell than he could normally cast (and include planar bindings without the bargaining in that)
