Feat's and bonus stacking

Rules Questions

I have a player arguing that his snake style feat and his skill focus feat stack, i can not seem to find the rule saying that all feat's bonus is feat bonus and do not stack.

He is claiming that the feat does not state a bonus type there for it is untyped and stacks.

Can someone find and link or tell me what page of the book it is on? Or am i just mistaken?

Your friend is correct. The bonus from snake style to sense motive (+2) would stack with skill focus (+3) if the skill focus was used for sense motive. Both bonuses are untyped and stack with each other.

In short: That's right.

In long: If a bonus has no type mentioned it is considered an untyped bonus, and those do stack. If a bonus was mentioned it would stack with all other bonus types and some of them even do stack with themselves.

Bonuses are numerical values that are added to checks and statistical scores. Most bonuses have a type, and as a general rule, bonuses of the same type are not cumulative (do not “stack”)—only the greater bonus granted applies.

The important aspect of bonus types is that two bonuses of the same type don't generally stack. With the exception of dodge bonuses, most circumstance bonuses, and racial bonuses, only the better bonus of a given type works. Bonuses without a type always stack, unless they are from the same source.

OK i always thought that 2 feats where still a source of feat. I was simply mistaken about this.

Be glad it doesn't work that way, or a fighter couldn't use weapon specialization with power attack! =)
