A question about the Garrison.

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

Lets say my character is at the Garrison, along with one other character. I take my turn, flip over the top card, and it's a monster. If I evade the monster, does the other character at the location still have to fight a summoned copy of the monster?

So yes, they do, even if you evade the monster.

Yes. Even if you evade, you still encountered a monster, so the Garrison's power still triggers. The Skull and Shackles rules make this a bit more clear.

Encountering a Card

Apply any effects that happen when you encounter a card.
Apply any evasion effects.
Apply any effects that happen before you act.
Attempt the check.
Attempt the next check, if needed.
Apply any effects that happen after you act.
Resolve the encounter.

So the Garrison's effect happens right away, before the opportunity to evade and end the encounter.

Thank you for the answers. :)
