I love creating characters, most of which I end up never using in actual game play. It's more of an intellectual/creativity exercise for me. Right now, I'm thinking about making a Human character using the Younger Character rules in Ultimate Campaign, and homeruling it so I can have a PC class. I was thinking either the Feral Child racial druid archtype in ARG, or the Wild Child brawler archtype in ACG.
My question is, what does anybody else think? Any ideas of how to make it possible/not completely underpowered? The minimum age I want is 12, and the animal companion is either a small cat or ape.

I'll go brawler Wild Child, take the human alternate trait: Eye for Talent, yeah it replaces your bonus feat but whatever, you don't need that many feats anyway.
Focus on ranged combat (point blank shot, rapid shot etc...), since you will suffer melee combat wise due to the penalties but, on the other hand, your animal companion would be good enough to do the melee for you. The ability to switch hunter tricks and use the skirmisher archetype tricks instead of martial flexibility would come quite in handy.

That's kind of what I was thinking of, probably going to use a sling or maybe a thrown weapon (isn't there a feat to use Dex instead of Str for thrown? Or is it that way naturally and the feat works the opposite?). And I can't remember, but does being Young lower your size or do you stay as the base size of an adult member of your race?

I was thinking Exotic more for thrown weapons, but a shortbow would be perfectly suited for my character. Only thing I don't like is that I wouldn't be using the unarmed damage progression for the brawler, which would deal more damage than a shortbow. Wish there was a way to use it with other weapons. Maybe in some future book or something.
