Teenage mutant ninja turtles!

I'm trying to get the "spirit" of the tmnt, so I was thinking a nagaji ninja with lots of natural armor. Splinter would probably be more discussion of ninja vs monk. I think I would have leo wielding 2 wakizashi instead of katana. Any ideas? I'm not saying I want an exact duplicate, more the spirit of them than anything else.

Sovereign Court

Since it would be considered an eastern setting for them, they get the proficiency with the eastern weapons so with that out of the way:

Splinter: is frankly the quintessential monk, calm, collected and elder martial arts master.

Raphael: Most likely a Barbarian, from what I recall, he is the turtle with anger issues and often listed as the strongest physically.

Michaelangelo: Ninja, he is considered the most athletic of the turtles this would cover a lot of it.

Donatello: Empiricist (Investigator archetype), when it comes to intellect and skills Donatello is the master. You could take appropriate crafting feats if you feel like adding the inventor side to it.

Leonardo: Urban Ranger pretty much, take TWF combat Style, this covers the wisdom part easily and most of his tactical planning.

In about a month, Eric Morton publishing should be releasing 'Animal Races: Clans of the Turtle' ... just to mention and plug. ;)

For obvious reasons, I'd want to give Splinter the Sensei archetype, just to mention. ;)

I'd give Leo and Raph at least one level of ninja for the proficiencies (in a non-eastern city setting). As for Leo being a Urban Ranger, you could possibly 're-flavor' his spells as ki powers. That, or change out his spells for the Skirmisher archetype.

Unfortunately, a rogue archetype fits them PERFECTLY for urban settings... Roof Runner. Since it replaces trapfinding and trap sense and the ninja doesn't have them, it isn't available. However, you could always house rule substitute poison use and no trace, since they seem to have the same progression and levels. As a matter of fact, I think I'll do that for a game.

Oh, and 'Animal Races: Clans of the Turtle' is absolutely PERFECT for them, especially with the heraldry colors (four of which match the Ninja Turtles' bandana colors/personalities).

So let's see. All of the turtles are turtle clan with the turtle mutant racial trait and turtle clan mutant feat taken at 1st level (if you get the pdf, which you should, you'll understand).

Leonardo - multiclass ninja/ranger with roof runner, urban ranger, and skirmisher archetypes. TWF katanas (described as a ninjaken- straight bladed version from the show/comic/movies/etc.) or wakizashi. Blue heraldry. BTW my favorite turtle.

Raphael - multiclass ninja/barbarian with roof runner and urban barbarian archetypes (or armored hulk archetype for his Nightwatcher persona). Dual wield sai. Red heraldry.

Michelangelo - straight ninja with roof runner archetype. Dual wield nunchaku. Orange heraldry.

Donatello - Investigator with empiricist and roof runner archetypes. Bo staff of course (or quarterstaff, since bo staves are exotic). Purple heraldry.

Opinions?

With Donnie's science skills, I actually see him as an alchemist more than anything (since we have no artificer class).

Well, Investigator is the rogue/alchemist hybrid class.

Oh, well, that works, then. Haven't looked too closely at the investigator, didn't know that. :)
