Continuing Beyond Spires of Xin-Shalast

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

So on the Adventure Card "Spires of Xin-Shalast" the characters get a card feat as a reward for completing the adventure. They additionally get another card feat for competing the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path. My question is "why?"

By the time you finish the Adventure Path there is nothing more to play. Those two card feats do you nothing. Or are their plans to put out continuing "epic" adventures? Anyone know anything.

Thanks,

There are no announced plans for anything to continue your characters from RotR into.

The rewards are there because you deserve some kind of reward. Plus you get some loot cards for the last scenario too. So the two cards feats might give you a spot to hold some of that final loot.

Also, you can use the RotRL, S&S, and even the class decks to create your own scenarios and adventures. There have been several posted by fans in the homebrew section and there is nothing wrong with using your characters from the end of RotRL to run some supper tough home brew games.

Gives something for the RPG DM something to do for fun in the card game to expand the adventure.

And you can go back through to re-play earlier scenarios, though they might not be as fun since you are now crazy powerful. I was thinking a Boss Rush mode would be fun, where each location deck contains a villain.

The Exchange

Cross your fingers for future development of "nightmare decks" (speculation, haven't seen any hints to this effect), FFG does this and it is a great way to get more value out of your cards while keeping people interested in older lines, lets you sell legacy product more easily as a game company to boot.
