Destroyed Arcane Bond Penalties?

If an Arcane Bonded object is destroyed do you suffer the normal penalty of....
If the object of an arcane bond is lost or destroyed, it can be replaced after 1 week in a special ritual that costs 200 gp per wizard level plus the cost of the masterwork item. This ritual takes 8 hours to complete.
AND
If a wizard attempts to cast a spell without his bonded object worn or in hand, he must make a concentration check or lose the spell. The DC for this check is equal to 20 + the spell's level.

I believe so - if it's lost or destroyed, you can't have it in hand. Be very, very, careful with your Bonded Object.

This is why I have mine as a ring. It is always on hand, it is probably never off hand, and your DM has to be explicitly trying to screw you if he is attacking your ring.

That and when you choose a ring as your bonded object, you can improve that ring as if you have the "Forge Ring" feat, and lets be honest... Almost noone takes that feat.
