I'm wondering for roleplay/story purposes if the new flesh comes unblemished and pristine, or identical to what you left behind. (If the latter, why isn't it all leaky and holey from whatever just killed you?)
Long live the new flesh...
Hehe. It would be a shame if an Orc came back without all of his "Badges of Battle". I imagine the more scars the more road credit.

But that doesn't take into account that you don't rez where you died, you rez at a bind point. And you leave a lootable husk behind. So, it would seem that what Kobold Cleaver calls "the meat" is being replaced, not just repaired.
I suppose we could spin the story that your body teleports to the bindstone and that the lootable husk is just the pile of equipment that clanks to the ground when the body vanishes... but teleporting dead bodies and repairing them seems like a greater leap than being issued a new fully-functional meatsack, somehow.

Pharasma has captured the essence of each of us in her heart. When she feels our loss, she recreates us she last saw us, in the moments before death took hold. The things we hold most dear (be they goods or marks on our bodies), she feels when she sees us, those things that are less dear to us she has a weaker hold on, and often leaves behind.

Hmm... I hadn't thought about that and I see your point.
