What if you CAN'T avoid "any movement that would provoke attacks of opportunity"?

Rules Questions

The Knight's Calling text, and I imagine this would fit other spells and abilities too, is:

You compel an enemy to come and fight you. On its turn, the target moves its speed toward you, avoiding any other dangers along its path (including any movement that would provoke attacks of opportunity). The target may do nothing but move on its turn. If the target ends its move adjacent to you, you can make an attack of opportunity against the target.

If, for example, the only possible way to move towards the caster was through a square adjacent to another enemy, would that enemy get an AoO?

Bonus question: Elemental resistance and energy types. Does any type of fire, electricity, cold or acid damage count as energy damage? So the resistance would apply to a burning skeleton's 1d6 fire damage on its melee attacks?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

1) target does nothing that round.
2) yup. Resist fire 5 makes 1d6 flames a joke
