Advice: Asperi as Pathfinder creature?

Homebrew and House Rules

I'm back with another question because you guys are so good at this! This is hopefully a quick one.

For various RP/backstory/character concept reasons, my PCs are about to have a chance to rescue a special ally & possible future mount for the sorcerer, with ties to the sorcerer's past. Without going into details, I really REALLY want to use an Asperi, both because it fits the sorcerer's character theme, and because one of my first characters had an Asperi once, so there's nostalgia there, too.

What I haven't decided is whether to:

a) Use the Asperi stats exact as-is.

b) Substitute the Dragonhorse stats, but make it look like an Asperi and be called an Asperi.

c) Adjust the Asperi stats to better fit Pathfinder mechanics.

Suggestions or ideas anyone? The Asperi's only real combat benefit will be as a flying mount for the sorcerer, but I'd like to make sure it doesn't get creamed into pancake the first time she rides him into battle. The PCs are currently Lvl 7 (Tier 2 mythic).
