Class Decks and Card Backs.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Based on the general vibe around here, along with the box insert, I get the impression that Paizo's default expectation is that we will play with cards unsleeved.

This makes me wonder what will happen with the class decks - will the first set have skulls and shackles backs, or will they have a separate class deck back all of their own?

Essentially, I'm concerned about a situation where, before I even explore, I can tell a card is a boon, based solely on the back. I've already had similar issues in RotR with mixed 1st and second printings, trying to decide whether to explore again, and having 100% certainty that the next card isn't a villain based on the back.

from what has been said, i believe all sets have the same card back.

I think it is more that Paizo does not expect owners to have to purchase sleeves. Not that they expect you to play unsleeved. The box insert does not allow for all the cards with sleeves but they are working with Ultra-Pro that is developing a carrying case that holds an entire set … sleeved.

Sovereign Court

The cards will all have the same back, no matter where they came from. There done this specifically so they can be mixed together.
