pathfinder battles miniatures availability?

Due to me branching out, ive discovered the miniatures for the game, and was thinking of picking up quite a few for future uses or even just to collect or use in place of the character token meant to mark where you are in the adventure card game, looking through the list on here, noticed several miniatures, are marked unavailable and on backorder, can someone explain what each mean for this product? meaning what causes it to become that status and the chance of it becoming available again? also while compiling a list of wanted pieces, noticed that the price got pretty high up there, is there a subscription or deal available to make these cheaper? and if there is a subscription, exactly what does it commit you to receive, when a new product comes out, do you have to buy it? and if its a booster, does 1 booster suffice or does it have to be a brick or even a case?

The unavailable is that they have no more singles or that the brick case or what not is out. Hopefully they will be back in. From what I have read somewhere on the board is that they will come back in stock when they get more in. For the singles that means that they are low enough on the rest of the singles from that set to open more sets.

The backorder I am not to sure about. But my guess would be that they just are out of stock and waiting for another shipment of the cases. Then they would break down the boxes according to what they need.

There is a subscription and it is around $290 ever 4 months, give or take a month. You get a 30% discount on singles when you subscribe. Subscription Page. Also the packs are randomized and you are not guaranteed a whole set of minis.

The other route you can look into is the Reaper minis, both Bones minis and unpainted metal minis. But you would have to paint them if you wanted color.

alright thanks for the reply, these are specifically just miniatures for use with anything you can use them for and collect correct? I didn't see any stat cards or anything that made them seem like star wars miniatures or D&D miniatures

Pathfinder minis, Reaper and Reaper Bones minis are for (mainly) RPG use. You are correct, no stat cards.

However, PF minis are in sets and so you can collect them if you want.

Our group buys all three for use with our weekly Pathfinder session.

ps-Another option is paper minis that Paizo puts out as PDFs or cardboard sets.

For a cheaper option than trying to grab all the painted minis, the NPC Codex Pawn Box has all the iconics within it. Though you'll also get several hundred other pawns that aren't iconics. :)
