True :)
Prof Augustus Tournesol
I'll have no internet from tonight until monday, leaving for GardenCon in Geneva. Please DMPC Augustus if needed.

To my understanding, you can't be attacked by two swarms in the same spot. They don't overlap, they join up. If two swarms are in the same area, they simply take up more space and become a larger swarm.
Also, they don't attack as they move. They can only attack the creatures in their space at the end of their turn. Two swarms together form a 'large swarm' which maintain contiguous shape. So two attacks on each person isn't possible to my understanding.
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Risbeth, I'm not seeing that rule anywhere. Do you have a reference?
Edit: Found a post by James Jacobs regarding stackability, which is what I think we're getting at here. Will post a clarification.
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
Larger swarms are represented by multiples of single swarms. The area occupied by a large swarm is completely shapeable, though the swarm usually remains in contiguous squares.Swarm Attack: Creatures with the swarm subtype don't make standard melee attacks. Instead, they deal automatic damage to any creature whose space they occupy at the end of their move, with no attack roll needed. Swarm attacks are not subject to a miss chance for concealment or cover. A swarm's statistics block has “swarm” in the Melee entry, with no attack bonus given. The amount of damage a swarm deals is based on its Hit Dice, as shown below.
So, if the swarms are together, they are a larger swarm, and maintain contiguous squares (non stacked). They don't attack, they just damage anyone who is in their squares at the end of their move.

Looks like Risbeth is done. Sorry she couldn't hold it off but a round and a half.
Pounce + two 4d6+9 slams + free grab on each slam... wow...
Caesare Montoya
Zano, great work
Ok first of all. Stone call has no spell resistance!
Second doing 4 damage to our enemy is quite.... let´s put it mildly, no I won´t STUPID and useless. And why so stupid?
Thank you, you just put Zanu in the negativ HP region as she was grappeled, so in the same space as the beast so she gets 4 damage too!
So enemy damage 4 Friendlys 8! Oh sorry they are fleshgolems so DR/5 so no damage to them, just 4 to Risbeth!
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Kids, let's play nice. Using a sarcastic tone is, well not very helpful and doesn't translate to writing.
Xerice Lockhart
I had my character do some sarcastic quip ingame but post got deleted.
Seriously though, very bad call doing aoe dmg on someone who is almost knocked out and grappled...
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Hey, I don't mind sarcasm, but keep it in character. Out of character we need to remain civil.
Prof Augustus Tournesol

Our Mysterious Benefactor
Yes, you do get a chronicle. Do me a favor and everyone post the PFS number you'd like the chronicle attached to.
Also, who wants to continue?
Prof Augustus Tournesol
Most interested to continue :)
For which level is the PFS chronicle?
Xerice Lockhart
Same one for me as well
119407 -11 Darius Skullcrusher Sovereign Court
Still want to continue, just not sure if I want to do it with Xerice as she is. Though I like her personality and character, her gameplay is kinda boring... Might want to switch to Darius instead since he is a lot of fun as a skald.
It will make it harder to keep Risbeth alive though, on the other hand, Darius can buff her with his lovely voice ;).
Still updating character. Want to buy a phylactery of negative channeling soonish if I continue with her ;).
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
I don't have any characters yet, you can do a credit thing right?
117882
I'll continue.
Prof Augustus Tournesol
Ok, I'll give the credit to Shamak, 93583-2, Dark Archives.
Xerice Lockhart
To give you guys an idea of what Darius is and does look at his profile page and posts.
Darius
Think Joker in personality, bit crazy with chants in combat strengthening allies with rage songs. Should be a fun addition both in combat and out. He will have lovely interactions with everyone methinks ^^.
It's just that Xerice is a bit meh. We already have an excellent cleric in Sonny and channeling is definitely not very much fun to focus a character on :P. I'm also having a hard time to find her a motivation to keep with the group besides money.
What do you guys think with Darius replacing Xerice?
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Okay! The Chronicle for this campaign can be found here!
I will be starting a new thread in the next day. I'll post the link here when I do.
Xerice Lockhart
Icanhasfeedback? :3
Prof Augustus Tournesol
I didn't understand who's feedback you wanted but I'd say I will regret Xerice :) I liked the new rp interactions given Risbeth's arrival in the group. But it's worthless to play a character you don't like! Prof won't benefit from the skald's song but Risbeth and Caesare may like a lot Darius' arrival. Do as you wish!
As for Zano's departure, shall we look for another player, GM?
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
I usually tell people to play what they want. We'll need to get some wands of inflict and/or devil blood healing if xerice is not around.
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
I didn't realize Zano had officially left.
I hope it wasn't due to Risbeth giving him grief in character.
Xerice Lockhart
If our generous GM has no issue with it, then I will switch to Darius.
Please let me know how to deal with gold/items.
As to characters, I think we are fairly well covered at the moment.
Risbeth -> tank
Caesare -> skill and dmg
Prof -> arcane
Sonny -> divine
Darius -> skill, spells and dmg
With Darius covering some gaps we had before.
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
Other than healing said tank. :)
We will need wands of inflict and devil's healing.
Our Mysterious Benefactor
You're heading back to Judge Daramid to get your reward, the shops of Lepidstadt carry all sorts of wands and potions that may be use to you.
Xerice, you're welcome to play whichever character you feel is best suited to you. If you decide to have a new character, that character will be with Judge Daramid when you return, having been referred to her by contacts in the Order of the Palatine Eye as the sort of person who can be counted on to get jobs done. He would have been a backup plan in case the party failed.
As soon as you tell me your final decision, I'll put up the wrap up post and a new post for our next chapter, "Broken Moon"!
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
Do we assume we have starting wealth for level 7, and adjust equipment accordingly, then assume any adjustments are done in town before we leave?
Caesare Montoya
Well we are, to my feeling very very low on wealth.
Caesare has just a MW weapon a nonmagical armor..etc.
Oh yes a magical +1 dagger
I do not know about the others.
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Judge Daramid's money, as well as the Baron's funding, ought to help. Once you've got those, I'll review the wealth situation and we'll go from there.
Risbeth Von'Hogmede
Risbeth has exactly the suggested WBL for her level...
...one level ago. Mainly because that's when she stepped in. However, she's a full level behind now. She's gotten nothing so far.
Prof Augustus Tournesol
My dearies, Prof can craft wonders :)
If you have the cash, prof has the skills (aka craft magic arms and armor and craft wonderous).
Xerice Lockhart
I'll switch to my new character then and make a new alias for him to avoid confusion. He will be named Harlequin something (same visuals, bit weird, but effective). I'll check what the last name will be.
Also he will add clvl to any healings so anything we cast to heal Risbeth will be enhanced :).
What starting wealth should I aim for?
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Each. Let's get that wealth up, shall we?
The final thread and the first post of the new chapter are up. The Link is Here.
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Not much, I think, as Risbeth kept you pretty honest about robbing the man you were sent to save! :)
Harlequin the Jester
|
Have I met the others yet or will I still be introduced?
