I have to thank you, GM. Up until now, I had never realized that stirges had to enter the square of their victim to attack, which would provoke unless their target is flat-footed. One never stops learning!
Of course, my druid player in RotRL will be sorely disappointed, since they are his favorite summons.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Knowing is half the GM battle! The other half is looking up the rules while the players aren't looking! GI-Pathfinder!
Indeed, they work best when the victim is already helpless. And these are, unfortunately, staggered from the channel that Xerice laid down, so they can move or attack, but not both. Poor little 'suckers.

Xerice Lockhart |

Just want to note. Roll20 did something to their website that made sure you can't even consult the map via tablet and mobile anymore :(. I use those mainly for posting. So when positioning gets really important I will have to take a little longer :(.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Okay, I'll try to post a Google-uploaded map when combat gets involved. I'll do my best to keep it updated whenever I post a combat round summary.

Xerice Lockhart |

Progress is getting kinda slow, what up folks? Everyone still with us?

Xerice Lockhart |

Perhaps gmpcing is in order to keep things going?

Xerice Lockhart |

Hope we didn't lose Cireth. It's been a week since his last posting.

Xerice Lockhart |

Good to see everyone still about :)

Xerice Lockhart |

Yay another level. Thinking I will give Xerice improved channel dc feat and at lvl 5 quicken channeling so that she can fire them off quite often.
However during this dungeon crawl versatile channeling would be more useful with all the undead. Would it be possible to take that first and retrain out of it if we don't need it after this dungeon?
If retraining is possible I think I will retrain my luck domain to the trickery domain as well. Not sure why I picked luck anymore, trickery seems much more fun in added versatility in spells and abilities.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

I have no problem with retraining. As long as you don't go way overboard and suddenly Xerice is a gnome bloodrager...

Xerice Lockhart |

Ok did some changes with retraining per your permission.
Changed domain to trickery
Changed a trait (gain bluff skilled) I didn't need anymore to heirloom weapon giving me +2 bonus with trips
Took vampiric empathy trait for fun roleplay
I noticed during the last couple of combats that Xerice can't do a lot in combat if she out of spells so I was hoping to shift her dex to str and gave her a different subtype (didn't know they had that for Dhampir) which shifts dex bonus to str bonus. This will make sure that she could actually trip someone when she runs out of channels. And so she can be useful in combats with mooks or big bads once she is out of spells etc.
Hope you are ok with that.

I too would like some retraining if possible. I will probably need str more than con and would like to switch the 2. That would put my current and max HP at -3 from the total and my fort save down by 1.

Cireth Aldwulf |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Made this:
Some assumptions-
Trade Goods valued at 100% (gems, paintings, ect)
Adventuring Gear (weapons, ect) sold at 50%
I don't know if there is a limit of what can be sold in town. I marked a few of the weapons as sold, and some of the more 'worthless' items (worthless as worthless to adventures). Please review the sheet. I made a tab for each character as well, if we want to use this to track wealth then this should be more then capable for it.
Let me know if there are any errors, suggestions or improvements.
This is on google docs so send me a gmail to get added as a collaberator.

Amazing work, Cireth!
IMHO, we should split up the antitoxins and similar items, they are more useful in our bag (where we know what we have) than in a common bag.
I've just spotted a mistake: on my tab there is a mention that I purchased a Runestone of Power, which isn't the case.

Cireth Aldwulf |

Splitting up items is something I'm fine with, I just didn't know how we wanted the items split up. I could arbitrarily assign items if that is wanted. Also the Runestone would be Cireth's gift from the professor, apparently I duplicated that onto your sheet. That's been erased.
Also am I correct in thinking that we actually haven't received any actual gold pieces from Harrowstone yet?
Also ideally everyone would manage their own character's inventory.

![]() |

Ezechias will gladly take a healer's kit and an antitoxin.
Selling a warhammer (6 gp), a scimitar (7gp 5 sp) and a scale mail (25 gp).
Buying a banded mail (250 gp).
If my calculations are correct, I have 5 pp, 46 gp, 8 sp, 2 cp left.

![]() |

ceasear asked how much pp we had left over as some of that was used to cover expenses, and the dm rolled that we used up 4 pp a piece to cover expenses for funeral and other such things for the start of the game.

okay I'm posting this in all of my games. My virus protection expires tomorrow and I won't be able to renew it until my brother gets here to install the new one on Christmas day, therefore I will be inactive from tomorrow until Christmas day, bot me as needed, ie. my computer will be off, as I'm not taking any chances of being hacked just by being connected to the internet during that time.

Xerice Lockhart |

Basic windows protection with firewall works pretty well unless you click wierd links. Otherwise there are free options like AVG. Virus protection doesn't protect you against hackers, thats what firewalls are for. Virus protection just scans any files on your pc.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Almost over. Still a little exposition, but yes, go ahead and post the PFS numbers you want me to report.

![]() |

I made a new non-pfs alias to avoid confusion, I can keep track of the two characters seperately. anyway, go ahead and apply to Zanu Turok #135676-3 of the Osirion faction. Zanu is becoming a Wayang Magus, and he is still level 1 as I have not used him for PFS credit yet.
Zano on the other hand, the guy for this game is still a human.
oh right, go ahead and take zanu off of the active characters and make sure Zano is on there, as the alias you post with in the game usually appears at the top when selecting an alias to post with and it helps when the right character is in the active list.

Cireth Aldwulf |

Garren Lightfall
Silver Crusade
50016-4
He is currently level 3 and this will push him to 4.
On a slightly different note - I will also make a pass on the loot tracking sheet I created over, updating what we have found.

Xerice Lockhart |

# 119407-11
Sovereign Court
Darius Skullcrusher
Are we leveling up again as well?

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Yes, go ahead and level up to 4!
I don't think I need email addresses, but I'll let you know if I do.

Xerice Lockhart |

Will you link the chronicles up here or through mail? Either is fine for me :).

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

I will probably put them on Google drive, but it will be Monday before I can. They're reported, but I need to write them out.

![]() |

Assuming the party is okay for me to claim the +1 keen longsword, I'll give the +1 handaxe that deals +1d6 damage to beheaded or headless creatures to anyone who wants it.
Levelling up is done here, by the way.

Caesare Montoya |

Loot so far:
a pair of fully stocked healer’s kits,
3 vials of antitoxin,
2 vials of antiplague,
3 doses of bloodblock,
3 doses of smelling salts,
2 vials of soothe syrup
4 potions of cure light wounds.
- A Bloodstained Handaxe: This +1 handaxe was the Lopper’s favorite murder weapon. No amount of cleaning can remove the bloodstains on the blade or handle as long as the Lopper’s spirit continues to haunt Harrowstone. 1160
- Collection of Holy Symbols: These holy symbols were used by Father Charlatan, who would select one from the collection that would match the faith of his victims as proof of his good intentions. There are a dozen holy symbols on fine silver chains—the collection as a whole is worth 300 gp.
- Moldy Spellbook: The covers and pages of this thick, leather-bound spellbook have become caked with mold over the years, but some of the contents remain legible. This book once belonged to Professor Hean Feramin, the man who would eventually achieve fame not through academia but through murder. Known in his final days as the Splatter Man, he was delt a hideous blow to his morale and sanity by the loss of his spellbook. The book, like the other objects in this room, now bears a
curse—anyone who looks through the book finds her name scribbled in blood on the margins of the book.
- Smith’s Hammer: This masterwork smith’s hammer grants a +2 competence bonus on all Craft (armorsmith, blacksmith, and weaponsmith) checks. If used in battle, the hammer functions as a masterwork light hammer.
175
- Tarnished Silver Flute: This 300 gp masterwork flute was once owned by the man known only as the Piper of Illmarsh. 300
120 gp,
a broken masterwork heavy crossbow,
a masterwork longsword engraved with the words 'Till the end', 150
a +1 heavy mace, Xerice
a stone of alarm
six suits of masterwork chainmail Xerice 875
six suits of masterwork studded leather armor, Ceasare 400
four masterwork longswords, 600
four masterwork heavy maces, Sunny 450
two masterwork heavy crossbows, Caesare 175
120 crossbow bolts,
a case of 10+1 crossbow bolts, Xerice
a wand clearly labelled as a wand of hold person (11 charges),
4 potions of clearly labelled cure moderate wounds,
a rope of climbing
+1 keen longsword, Ezechias
a +1 mithral dagger
a ring of protection +1
Warden’s badge (3,000 gp; treat as a lesser ectoplasmic metamagic rod that must be held when activated
a set of masterwork thieves’ tools, Caesare
a bronze war medallion from the Shining Crusade (worth 40 gp),
an unframed Taldan painting of Stavian I (worth 100 gp),
a set of a noblewoman’s silver hair clips (worth 35 gp),
a masterwork punching dagger, 150 GP
a pouch containing a dozen masterwork shurikens, 36 GP
a masterwork silver war razor 160 GP
a wand of lesser restoration (12 charges)

![]() |

My opinion is that everyone claims what he would like, we split the consumables, and sell the rest.
With that money we'll first buy the restorations Sonny needs. Then we can divide the money in 7 shares, one for each of us and one as "group stash" that we can use to purchase group items (wands of CLW, diamond dust, etc.)
Does it seem sensible?
As for the splitting of consumables, the wand of lesser restoration and the healer's kits should go to Sonny. As far as I'm concerned, I've already got all I need for now.

Xerice Lockhart |

I'll get a couple of scrolls/pots of inflict light wounds that Sonny/others could use on Xerice should she go down.
Agreed with Ezechias' splitting.
I don't think Xerice will be using her crossbow anytime soon anymore. Shooting into combat will be a waste with her low dex now. She will rather assist with her whip.
She can use the wand of hold person of course. Though I don't think the spell with a low dc will be of much use.

Caesare Montoya |

I agree, we should deduct the restoration costs from our loot.
On a sidenote, I think we should keep the silvered warrazor and the mithral dagger. A weapon able to hurt vampires and werewolves could be usefull in a horror campaign.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

The spellbook is worth 900 gp to the right buyer. (And you can find the right buyer.)
Also keep in mind that there is 100 platinum coins for each of you waiting in Lepidstat as soon as you deliver the books for the Professor's will.
Ravengro:
Base Value 1,000 gp; Purchase Limit 5,000 gp; Spellcasting 4th
Minor Items masterwork full plate, +1 light steel shield, +1 silver morningstar, +1 rapier, incense of meditation, dusty rose prism ioun stone, ring of feather falling, wand of cat’s grace (13 charges), wand of cure moderate wounds (19 charges); Medium Items flesh golem manual, scroll of restoration, wand of slow (6 charges)

Xerice Lockhart |

Is there any way of getting some potions of inflict minor wounds from the clergy? For backup.
Done leveling btw and ready for the next chapter :).
Hopefully I can finally use those negative channels ;).

![]() |

Excellent point about the silver/mithral weapons Caesare.
I'm seeing a very good-looking mwk full plate in the items to sell, I hope we get enough gold for it! (1650gp if I'm not mistaken)
Any news on the chronicle sheets, by chance? ;)

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Mea culpa! I got to work this morning with the best of intentions, but the day slapped me.
