Movement within squares threatened by an opponent

Rules Questions

If I am fighting a single opponent can I move from one square threatened by him to another threatened by him without provoking an attack of opportunity using normal movement? This would be an attempt to circle him and flank him. If not, can I use the 5-foot step to work my way around him?

You can use your five foot step. If you use movement to EXIT a threatened square (it does not matter what square you are entering), you provoke an attack of opportunity, but only once per move.

Provoking an Attack of Opportunity: Two kinds of actions can provoke attacks of opportunity: moving out of a threatened square and performing certain actions within a threatened square.

Moving: Moving out of a threatened square usually provokes attacks of opportunity from threatening opponents. There are two common methods of avoiding such an attack—the 5-foot step and the withdraw action.

Moving out of more than one square threatened by the same opponent in the same round doesn't count as more than one opportunity for that opponent.
