Anyone seen this movie?
I just have. I love the fact it's not taking itself seriously at all.
But is it me, or does every movie with Treat Williams inside has to hire the same music composer?
I really like the music by Jerry Goldsmith in Deep Rising myself (own the CD). It's a campy film and the score helps carry the action.
Yeah I thought it was a fun little movie.
LOL. Wow, this brings back memories. I must have watched this move like 3 times in High School. Very fun popcorn flick. My only gripe was the whole, "we made it to an island, we're safe! Wait, what is that giant monster trampling through the jungle?!" It kind of pushed the cheese there...
I saw that movie years ago, wish we did find out what the monster on the island looked like.
I liked it. Then again, movies with monsters tend to get more a pass than other movies of similar quality

Because we need a kickstarter. Or maybe a reboot as a scifi:
Deep Rising Part 1: Khaos Sea: A starliner passing an unexplored world experiences problems and is quickly attacked by alien space kraken. Cue the hero on his light transport with crew and passengers bound for an unknown destination in the middle of nowhere...
Deep Rising part 2: garden of eden: the survivors of the previous film wind up on the surface of the planet thanks to an orbital entry capsule. Above them the starliner is falling toward the planet, its reactors likely to kill everything...when some huge beast roars from somewhere in the alien jungle.
Really liked the movie, also Famke Jansen right?
