Do you need to be mythic to take Ascendant Spell?

Rules Questions

On Table 2-1 on page 56 of Mythic Adventures, Ascendant Spell is listed under Mythic Feats, which require a mythic tier or mythic rank to select.

However, the feat entry on page 55 does not have the (Mythic) descriptor, and contains the phrase "unless you are a mythic creature," which implies that nonmythic creatures can take this feat.

Is Table 2-1 in error, or is the feat description in error?

It isn't s mythic feat "anyone" can take it. However its a quesrionfor your dm. If he is not telling a mythic story I cannot see why it would be allowed.

I'm merely asking because Table 2-1 and the feat text contradict each other. I'm not actually asking on behalf of some character I'm playing.

You'll notice there are no mythic metamagic feats.

There is also a non-mythic metamagic feat for casting spells as their mythic versions: Ascendant Spell.

ASCENDANT SPELL (METAMAGIC)

That means it is not a mythic feat. It is just on the mythic table because most of these feats are designed with mythic gameplay in mind. So if your GM is allowing mythic rules the feat would be allowed. Otherwise it won't be.
